☛ HAPPY GUTENBERG ☚
Established in Romania in '98, Happy Gutenberg had his first contact with electronic music in '94 in Syria, where his passion for music drove him to play music in clubs. In 2003 his first party as a DJ happened at Web Club in Bucharest. With the help of his mentor Florin Marica known as DJ Marika (resident DJ at Web Club at that time) and Suie Paparude lead singer Mihai Dobre and the Owner of the club Ionas, he continued to play at various events and parties in Bucharest and other cities in Romania. His sound is somewhere between House, Techouse and Techno with happy influences.
Late 2005 was of great importance for him as a DJ. Collaborating with The Mission and mixing with appreciated artists like Haute Culture, Michi (Suie Paparude), Marika, Gemini Bros, Vania, D-Laid, Thornado, VRT, Markus Schulz, Frank Loper, The Model, Gojira, DJ Vasile, and many more...
In 2010 came back as a Producer and signed with Club-A-Club Records, USA, and his first single was a remix for the Les Elephants Bizarres - Hello (Happy Gutenberg Angel mix), which you can find it on Beatport.com.

Because he liked to solve crosswords he tried to tie together the most abstract ideas possible while digesting IDM for a full year. Ending up with a beanie he stuffed it onto his ears and noticed how the floors vibrated as he mixed drum and bass in the venues with the most resonance in Bucharest. Melancholic since he was a child later tripped in something liquid for 3 years in a row till he remembered one day the first chocolate he tasted was either techno or deep house flavored. Finally he gathered the experiences and knowledge stuffed in his pocket for 6 years and laid them down note by note.
We talked so far about Reash, a bearded young man born in Bucharest (Romania) who likes to mix as much elements and influences as possible into the classic 4by4 wrapped with punching bass lines and inflicting grooves. The main characteristic of his tracks is emotiveness, because listening them we remember a forgotten act or that first kiss we stole back in childhood.
